Logo Embroidery: From Artwork to Approved Sample
Prepare an embroidery order for polos, caps and vests: artwork, dimensions, thread, sampling and the factors behind a quotation.

Artwork needs stitch preparation
A logo image is not a set of needle instructions. It needs digitisation that defines stitch direction, sequence and density. Provide clear or vector artwork, reference colours and the final size. The stitch file must be prepared for the garment and production equipment rather than simply converted from an image.

Small sizes limit detail
Tiny lettering, thin lines and complex shading may not remain clear in thread. Review a simplified mark at its actual size. Adding density is not always the solution and can stiffen or pucker the fabric. Decide from a stitched sample on the intended material.

Plan placement before production
Machine access differs between polos, caps and vests. Pockets, linings, seams and zips can restrict placement. A coordinated set does not require the same logo dimensions on every item; preserve a sensible proportion to each available surface.

Cost is more than the colour count
Size, complexity, stitch count, digitisation, garment type, quantity and placement all affect cost. An image alone is not enough for a useful estimate. Include dimensions and location, and separate sampling or setup charges from the per-item decoration price.

Keep the approved sample
Inspect edges, letter clarity, backing and fabric puckering. Compare thread colours with the agreed reference and ask for care instructions. Retain the approved sample and final file against the order reference for future repeat work. Consult the printing and embroidery page when considering alternatives.
